Move Like Water is us — husband and wife team Rowena and Joel Rasmussen.

We’re ARIA-nominated Directors and Creative Directors, most recently working across The Voice Australia (2023, 2024, 2025). Our work spans music, television, live performance, short film, and branded content — all with a cinematic, performance-led edge.

We teamed up with Jason Derulo in LA, directing the live-action opening visuals for his show and creating animated screen content for his Fridayz Live tour and 2024 world tour.

Our short films Invisible and Ellie Was Here have screened at Academy-qualifying festivals including Flickerfest and St Kilda Film Festival.

Our portfolio includes collaborations with artists such as Mel C, Jessica Mauboy, Adam Lambert, Kate Miller-Heidke, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian, LeAnn Rimes, Ricky Martin, Geri Halliwell, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Kelly Rowland, Jessie J, Ke$ha, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue, Dannii Minogue, Tina Arena, Delta Goodrem, and many more.

Alongside performance and broadcast work, we also direct branded content, partnering directly with brands to craft visually striking, story-rich campaigns - we bring the same creative energy to brand work as we do to the stage and screen.

With roots in dance, theatre, singing and acting, we understand performance from the inside out. That background shapes how we direct — blending empathy, energy, and a strong visual eye to bring out the best in talent, whether we’re behind the camera or leading a creative vision.
